Unlike other guides that simply rank characters based on raw power, I’ve analyzed each Animus across multiple dimensions: PvP dominance, PvE efficiency, team synergy, and current meta relevance. With the game reaching 1 million downloads and constant updates (latest version 1.0.478), staying current with the meta is crucial for competitive success.
Complete Etheria Restart Tier List June 2026
S+ Tier: The Meta Definers
These characters are game-changers that can single-handedly carry your account. If you’re rerolling, these are your primary targets.
Kethos – The newest addition to the S+ tier, Kethos has completely shaken up the meta with his incredible damage output and versatility. His ability to adapt to any situation makes him invaluable in both PvP and PvE content.
Plume – A master of crowd control and sustained damage. Plume’s kit allows for incredible team synergy, making her a staple in high-level play.
Massiah (Blade of Verdict) – Probably one of the best PvP characters in the game right now. His Divine Descent grants him Invincibility for a turn, which can be massive, especially in PvE. His Defiance Cross can also grant that, or extend his existing Invincibility for a turn – it can give you a massive advantage if used correctly.
Rosa (Doom Blossom) – Rosa has some of the best single target and AOE sustained damage in Etheria Restart. Incredibly useful blend of Delay moves as well as Buffs and Debuffs. Skip her for Terrormaton but she’s SSS on all other game modes.
Lilliam – A versatile character that excels in multiple roles. Her ability to adapt to different team compositions makes her invaluable.
Heinrich (Godslayer Guns) – Heinrich is one of the best Debuff characters in Etheria Restart because he can disable enemy buffs and healing completely shutting down many encounters. His Farewell Shot boosts CRIT DMG taken and increases CRIT chance on that enemy as well.
Kloss (Phantom Hacker) – A technical character that rewards skilled play. His hacking abilities can turn the tide of battle when used correctly.
Freya (Oblivion Flame) – Freya is one of the characters that everyone should aim to get, since her support kit is downright broken. She can grant buffs, such as increasing allies’ turn meter (which means your allies can spam skills), but she can also debuff enemies in the same way. On top of that, she can grant the Nightmare effect, which helps allies heal themselves when they attack an enemy with that effect.
Lily (Phantom Trickster) – The best support in Etheria Restart overall for all Thresholds, Union Bosses, and even PvP. Drastically boosts your Turn Meter and Speed. Shadow Trick boosts critical damage as well for more DPS. Can follow up with Hat Trick which has Assist.
Helkid (Scarlet Ironveil) – A tank character that provides incredible team protection. His defensive capabilities make him essential for survival in difficult content.
Lingluo (Cantus Maris) – Another top-tier support who revolves mainly around heals. While she has pretty low defences by default, her heals more than make up for it. With all of the skills in her kit, she heals allies, but some of them, such as Whirlpool, can also dispel debuffs. Her whole kit is about buffs, debuffs, or enhancing existing buffs, which works great with most of the other characters in this tier.
Batsby – A versatile character that can fill multiple roles depending on your team’s needs.
S Tier: Excellent Choices
These characters are strong and can perform exceptionally well in the right hands. While not as universally dominant as S+ tier, they’re still excellent investments.
Bornova – One of the very few characters that actually has a revive in her kit. Not only that, she can also buff allies’ turn meter with her Bloom Sonata AND with her Soul Whirl. With her Karma Abyss, she can buff allies’ ATK and Crit DMG for 2 turns, which makes her one of the best supports in Etheria Restart.
Fiamelia (Dreamyne) – A solid DPS character with good sustained damage output. Her dream-based abilities can confuse enemies and create openings for your team.
Ninfoniel – A versatile character that can adapt to different situations. Her abilities make her valuable in both offensive and defensive scenarios.
Lian (Flameborn Phoenix) – Lian has the best Burst damage in Etheria Restart both for Single Target and AOE. Amazing for Terrormaton and Aurora. One of the best Delay characters. Not the most useful on DokiDoki.
Rahu (Wily Revenant) – If you need your DPS to have Cleanse bring Rahu and he’ll also provide you with useful Buffs and Debuffs. Great sustained damage overall. Struggles on Aurora but on all other game modes he’s a damage machine with useful utility and Cleanse.
Sania (Vengeful Thorn) – Might catch some heat here for putting Sania in S tier because her raw damage without setup sucks but her damage-over-time synergies are amazing. All of her abilities interact with DoT so she’s a must have for DoT builds. Great source of sustained damage.
Lowan – A reliable character that provides consistent performance across different game modes.
Santik – A strong character that excels in specific situations. His abilities make him valuable for particular team compositions.
Tiamat (Abyssal Nightmare) – A powerful character that can deal massive damage when built correctly. Her nightmare-themed abilities can devastate enemies.
Xiada (Alluring Enchantress) – Some of the best if not the best AOE sustained damage dealer in the game. Best for Doki Doki and all game modes that favor AOE damage. Not the best for Terrormaton.
Beyontin (Acheron Lycoris) – Can revive your team, period, SSS-Tier. She also buffs your attack and crit damage which is amazing. The only reason I prefer Lily or DokiDoki is because I would rather keep my team alive than count on the revive.
DokiDoki (Truth Memetic) – Can buff up your team’s damage and speed to crazy numbers. The second-best support in Etheria Restart in my opinion after Lily. Can even cleanse debuffs.
Tsukiyo Mi (Queen Bee) – Tsukiyo Mi is an all around great support but her abilities aren’t as powerful support wise as SSS Tier. However, her Silence is broken for PvP and she’s probably one of the strongest PvP Supports in Etheria Restart because of that.
Mia (Spirit Water) – A versatile character that can adapt to different team needs. Her spirit-based abilities provide unique utility.
Yeli (Eternal Night) – A strong character that excels in specific situations. Her night-themed abilities can turn the tide of battle.
Sania (Virtuous Maiden) – A different version of Sania with unique abilities that make her valuable in specific team compositions.
Mio (Riddle Encyclopedia) – A versatile character that provides excellent utility. Her encyclopedia-themed abilities can reveal enemy weaknesses.
Valerian (Eternal Slumber) – A character that excels at crowd control. His sleep-based abilities can disable enemies for extended periods.
Gray (Thunderbolt) – Just an SR, and one that you get from the tutorial. However, he is extremely strong as a debuffer, which means you can use him from the moment you get him. He can also buff his turn meter, and with his kit, he can also buff his and his allies’ Crit rate, meaning he’s a great addition to any team.
Marvell (Pure Dimension) – A character that can manipulate dimensions to gain advantages. His abilities provide unique tactical options.
Chiaki the Echo (Daydream Melody) – For everything but Aurora Chiaki’s Ave Maria immunity to Turn Meter reduction and steal effects is amazing. She can also cleanse debuffs. Not the most useful on Aurora so swap her out.
Dinah (Dual Thorn) – A character that excels at dealing damage over time. Her thorn-based abilities can wear down enemies quickly.
A Tier: Solid Performers
These characters are competent and can perform well in the right situations. They’re not as universally strong as higher tiers but can still be valuable additions to your team.
Misuzumi Aya – Aya has stayed consistently one of the top picks and with the rise of CC in the ladder she is more relevant than ever. Notably she keeps a strong niche in the Turn 2 mirrors as a counter to Plume and a nice boost against any late cc picks such as Mio or Lilith.
Palin – A reliable character that provides consistent performance. His abilities make him valuable for specific team compositions.
Raymerry – A character that excels in specific situations. His abilities provide unique tactical advantages.
Nevette – Nevette is not a bad character, she simply fills a similar role to several others. Sadly she doesn’t do it better than most of them, resulting in her rarely seeing high priority pick status, rather being relegated to the sometimes picked on 4/5 if you fancy it situation several other characters see themselves in.
Sylph – Sylph is seeing quite a bit less play, but she pops up every now and then. Her wind-based abilities can provide excellent utility.
Kokardi – With the meta developing, Kokardi has been giving room to fill the niche of punishing drafts that do not draft enough damage. His scaling damage and inability to be targeted gives him lots of build options and draft partners. He can single handedly win games for you if your opponent does not respect him in drafts and is not prepared to deal with him.
Borgne (Nocturnal Prayer) – An SSR DPS character who is able to do amazing AoE damage. He is a fairly straightforward damage dealer, one who has pretty good sustain in his kit, but because he doesn’t really scale with Crits, he is only placed in this tier.
Khloros (Grim Penalty) – Khloros deals the most raw sustained damage in Etheria Restart. He struggles with providing team utility but that’s not his role. His amazing DPS and Debuffs is what you want him for. Just don’t bring him to DokiDoki since you need more burst there.
Celince (Celestial Rain) – Celince is one of the biggest winners from the buffs, as her debuff was one of the strongest in the game, but she did not offer much outside of that to her team. Given her new shield at the start of battle and the addition of strong new passives, Celince’s value has skyrocketed over the last patch cycle.
Veronika (Crimson Duchess) – A decent character for PvE, but she excels at PvP. She is quite hit or miss, depending on your luck, but for PvP, she is one of the best. Her kit is designed to “steal” buffs from enemies and spread them amongst her teammates, which is why she’s more of a situational character.
Nahor – Perhaps the biggest winner from the buffs. Nahor’s S3 becoming a multihit ability has completely changed his viability in the current meta.
Diting (Shadow Hunter) – Diting deals the most single target burst damage from my tests. Include him in a team that can set him up to burst down key targets. You can pull off some crazy plays in PvP.
Fangus (Infinite Trojan) – Sania is queen of DoTs but Fangus is a close second. Great sustained damage. Brings lots of utility to the team with Delays and Follow-Ups.
Rin the Unbowed (Honed Edge) – Great sustained single and AOE damage. Overall a useful DPS with good Delay abilities. Not the best on Terrormaton.
Victor (Necro Miner) – Now Victor is a huge tank and quite hard to kill. Best of all he gets more damage the lower his HP is and his Shields keep him alive. Best for Terrormaton but he’s generally useful anywhere.
Kazuyo the Reverie (Tranquil Rest) – A character that excels at providing tranquility to the team. Her rest-based abilities can heal and protect allies.
Kraken (Mastermind Manager) – A character that excels at controlling the battlefield. His kraken-themed abilities can dominate enemies.
Obol (Beacon Conductor) – A character that excels at guiding the team. His beacon abilities can provide excellent utility.
Turandot (Crimson Waltz) – Yeah well, the awakening here was a game changer and a half. She went from seeing 0 play to being the most popular pre-ban overnight. She is extremely difficult to fight against if you get outspeed and you bet you will because she is the fastest in the game.
Tsukiyo Mi (Queen Bee) – Another version of Tsukiyo Mi with different abilities that make her valuable in specific situations.
Yang (Flamboyant Juvenile) – A decent support with the ATK and CRIT buff for allies but you want him for the Cleanse as well. Also a pretty good off-DPS since he can buff his own CRIT. Bad on Terrormaton so bring a stronger support.
Chiaki (Illusion’s Reality) – A decent healer, and an SR one too. She is fairly straightforward, her entire kit focusing mostly on healing her team. If you don’t have any better healers, she can do a pretty reliable job.
B Tier: Situational Picks
These characters can be useful in specific situations but generally underperform compared to higher tiers.
Hizuki Mari – Hizuki is a fine unit – she is just suffering from more and more units coming out and there being less and less room for simpler units like her.
Rilmocha (Blast Belle) – Rilmocha is the best character for DokiDoki and Terrormaton as well as one of the best PVP characters. Her combination of CC, Delays, and burst damage is incredibly useful for controlling the enemy. Just don’t bring her to Aurora, she’s useless there.
Lilith (Puppet Master) – Lilith is sadly seeing less and less play – too many units that do somewhat similar things and her own issues with some of the newly released animuses that are very popular (specifically Lowan) don’t make for a good combo.
Cachi the Guard (Fearless Guard) – Cachi is an SR character you get during the tutorial – he is a decent debuffer, but nothing really mind-blowing. He can decrease the enemy’s Crit Rate and Speed.
Viper (Wandering Sinner) – There is just very rarely a spot where Viper is good nowadays, most of what T1 is doing he does not help with or there are just way better units for, and in T2 mirrors he just does not do enough anymore.
Dorothy the Wisher (Journey to Yourland) – Has some good damage buffs and also applies Life Leech to allies. Really useful on everything except DokiDoki.
Mizuki Makoto (Grim Fist) – Mizuki is still a great unit, but with her only job being to counter Tiamat, if you are picking her into anything else she leaves a lot to be desired when compared to the rest of the bruiser lineup.
Dorothy (Lynx) – A character you will get during the tutorial, and she is pretty middle-of-the-pack. She’s a decent and fairly straightforward healer. She is not great, but not horrible either.
Oboro (Phantom Edge) – Has pretty mid damage so she’s not the best for DPS. She shines in comboing DoTs, Debuffs, and Delays. Don’t bring her to PVPs but she’s pretty good for Aurora and Union Bosses.
Tsutomu (Musou Blade) – One of the best things about Tsutomu is that he can Dispel effects by stealing buffs with Vanishing Shade. He can also disable buffs and heals on enemies so use him for utility. This weird mix of utility and lower than average DPS makes him bad for PVP and Aurora.
RC-77 (Geek Scientist) – RC looks like the weakest of the awakening units overall so far but he is also the most complicated so there might be more to him, but he seems very good on Rev in combination with things like Senyu etc. His s1 passive often nets you that extra damage you might have been lacking before.
Rin (Wild Rampage) – A character that excels at dealing damage in wild situations. Her rampaging abilities can devastate enemies.
No. 41 (Researcher) – The opposite of Dorothy because she prevents enemy healing. Really strong on DokiDoki.
Cachi (Ursa Minor) – Can delay enemies with Justice Beam. You want him for the Stun through Heroic Strike as his strongest ability but it’s not that good except for PVP where’s it’s really strong.
C Tier: Limited Use
These characters generally underperform and should only be used if you have no other options.
Kazami Kazuyo (Discipline Keeper) – Kazuyo has not seen any relevant play the last month so we will be moving her down to T2 to pay for her sins of the previous seasons.
Andrew (Blitz Striker) – Bad DPS but can Debuff okay. I would skip.
Andrew (Unyielding Aegis) – More useful than Andrew Odd because the Reason version can Taunt.
Sybil (Zephyr Blade) – The worst DPS character in Etheria Restart in terms of numbers. Can reduce enemy Defence.
Asshu (Scoundrel) – A character that has limited utility in the current meta.
Vice (Rogue Crew) – A character that struggles to find a place in competitive team compositions.
Ultimate Reroll Guide for Etheria Restart June 2026
Rerolling is absolutely essential in Etheria Restart if you want to compete at a high level. Based on my extensive experience, here’s the most efficient reroll strategy:
Step-by-Step Reroll Process
- Log in to the game with a Gmail account – Make sure it’s an account you can easily create variations of (like adding numbers)
- Play through the tutorial – Don’t skip anything, as you need to complete the story to unlock all features
- Do the recommended pulls from the gacha – These are set pulls that give you guaranteed characters
- Play through the story mode and finish Chapter 1 – This unlocks the mailbox feature which is crucial for getting free resources
- Clear stage 1-3 – This unlocks additional features and resources
- Do the 10-pull from the gacha – Use your initial resources for this guaranteed pull
- Redeem any active codes and claim all the emails – Check our Etheria Restart codes guide for the latest active codes
- Pull in the gacha, using all your resources – Go all in on your initial pulls
- Evaluate your results – If you got the character you want, keep the account; otherwise, continue to the next step
- Go to Menu > Settings > Other > Return to Login Screen – This starts the reset process
- Tap on the Account icon in the top right corner (the one with a human figure), and then select Log Out to log out of the account you’re on
- Log in using another email – Similar to your initial one (add 12345 to keep track of your account)
- Start again from step 1 – Repeat until you get your desired characters
How Long Does Rerolling Take?
Based on my testing, rerolling will take about 20-25 minutes, but it depends on your speed too. You should try to always use Gray’s Thunderous Roar at the start of a turn, since that will speed things up a bit.
Who Should You Reroll For?
I recommend rerolling for any of the S+ tier characters. My best suggestion is to go for the following priority order:
- Freya – The best support in the game, essential for any team
- Lily – Incredible turn meter manipulation and support capabilities
- Rosa – Amazing sustained damage for all content types
- Heinrich – The best debuffer in the game
- Mio – Versatile character that excels in multiple situations
Pro Reroll Tips
- Time your pulls – Some banners have better rates than others
- Check the current banner – Make sure you’re pulling for characters that are actually available
- Save your resources – Don’t pull on every banner, wait for high-value ones
- Consider team synergy – Don’t just chase individual characters, think about how they work together
Current Meta Analysis June 2026
The current meta has shifted significantly with the recent SS3 season updates. Here are the key meta changes I’ve observed:
Top Meta Shifts
Kethos and Bornova have completely changed the landscape since their addition in February 2026. Their abilities complement existing top-tier characters while providing new strategic options.
PVP Meta Changes (based on Prydwen analysis):
- Turandot went from T3 to T0 overnight due to awakening changes
- Celince and Nahor received massive buffs that skyrocketed their viability
- Rahu dropped from T0 to T0.5 due to decreased play rates
- Mio benefited from the Codex nerf and moved to T0
Character Movement Analysis
Rising Stars:
- Turandot – Now the fastest character in the game
- Celince – New shield and passives make her incredibly valuable
- Nahor – Multi-hit S3 ability changed his entire playstyle
Falling Stars:
- Lilith – Power creep and new character releases have hurt her viability
- Hizuki Mari – Too many better options available now
- Viper – Fell from T0 to T2 due to meta shifts
Team Building Strategies
Beginner Teams
If you’re just starting, I recommend focusing on these core team compositions:
Standard Beginner Team:
- Freya (Support) – Essential buffs and healing
- Gray (Debuffer) – Free from tutorial, surprisingly effective
- Massiah (DPS) – If you can get him from rerolling
- Lily (Support) – Turn meter manipulation
Advanced Teams
For endgame content, you’ll want to focus on synergy:
PvP Dominant Team:
- Freya (Support) – Best support in the game
- Massiah (DPS) – Invisibility frames and burst damage
- Turandot (Support) – Speed advantage and utility
- Celince (Debuffer) – New shield makes her incredibly tanky
PvE Farming Team:
- Lily (Support) – Turn meter manipulation for faster clears
- Rosa (DPS) – Sustained damage for long fights
- Freya (Support) – Keeps team alive during difficult content
- Kethos (DPS) – Latest meta character with incredible damage
